Health Education & Wellness
Outreach programs, as well as individual consultations regarding specific health
issues, are available to WIU students. Professional staff and student health
educators provide a wide variety of workshops, presentations, and services to
promote individual and community health. There is no fee for services.

Individual Consultations
- Eating/Exercise
Brochures and educational materials for students to develop a personal healthy eating/exercise plan,
goal setting, identifying helping and hindering forces as well as other
resources for support.
- Sexual Health
Topics covered may include healthy sexual relations, contraceptive options,
sexually transmitted diseases, or women's health.
- Tobacco Cessation
Education offered during individual sessions will assist the student in looking
at reasons for use, barriers to quitting, and a plan for cessation and
maintenance.
- Stress Management
Learn the "FREEZE-FRAME" technique to help you not only manage stress but
prevent much of it before it happens. This is accomplished through computerized,
interactive learning software.
Consultations on other health topics are welcome and encouraged. Our staff is
available to assist you.
