Mary Margaret Harris joined the staff of Beu Health Center in 2006. Prior to her appointment as Director, she served as Public Health Administrator for the McDonough County Health Department. Mary Margaret holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in microbiology from Western Illinois University and has been adjunct faculty in WIU's Department of Health Sciences and instructor for Spoon River College. Her professional interests include health needs assessment and planning, community partnerships, communicable disease, emergency response planning and preparedness. She has been engaged as an expert speaker on these and other public health topics at State and National conferences. Mary Margaret is affiliated with the Illinois Public Health Association, the American College Health Association and the ACPA-College Student Educators International.

Richard Iverson

Dr. Richard Iverson, M.D.
Chief of Staff

Dr. Richard Iverson has operated as a practicing Physician and the Chief of Staff for Beu Health Center since 2001. He is Board Certified in Family Practice and has provided medical care for residents of the Macomb area in private practice for 24 years. Dr Iverson has also been certified by the American Medical Society of Addiction Medicine. (ASAM). He is the past and current president of the McDonough County Medical Society, President of the Medical staff of McDonough District Hospital and has been a Monitoring Physician for the Illinois State Medical Society Physician Assistance Program. He is a member in good standing of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association. Dr. Iverson has a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts/Pre-Med studies from the University of Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1971. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force (9/72-9/74) where he served as a General Medical Officer. Dr Iverson has professional interest in the areas of mental health, alcohol and substance addictions, as well as brain physiology and biochemistry.
