Aquatics

The Aquatics Center is a fully accessible facility staffed with friendly, professional lifeguards who ensure a safe and positive aquatic environment. We are open in the early morning, at noon, and in the late afternoon/early evening for your convenience. The facility includes a 25-yard pool, an 8-person whirlpool, a sauna, and adjacent locker rooms. Informal recreation activities such as water basketball, open swimming, water aerobics, and lap swimming are offered. The Aquatics Center provides a variety of water fitness equipment and is ADA compliant.

Programs

Duck Club 2010
Sunday, January 24, - Saturday, April 24

• Register with a lifeguard at the SRC Aquatics Center prior to swimming your laps.
• Swim 50 laps or more each week for 9 consecutive weeks and earn a Duck Club t-shirt!
• Please see program details posted on the aquatics information board just outside the aquatic center doors for additional information.
• Registration will end Sunday, February 21, 2010.

Family Swim
Sundays, 1:00-3:00 p.m.

• Students and University employees are invited to bring their families and must be present during Family Swim.
• A Spencer SRC membership is not required, however a signed waiver with the WIU offiliate's valid WIU ID is needed.
• Children must be accompanied by their parent at all times. Parents must also remain one arm's distance from their child and in the water at all times.
• No one under the age of 16 is allowed to use the whirlpool or sauna - no exceptions!
• Please note this schedule does not reflect breaks, holidays or finals week. See the homepage for updates on hours for breaks and holidays.

Lap Swimming

• Three lanes are designated for lap swimming during the morning, noon and evening Open Swims.

Private Rentals

• Pool rentals are available throughout the semester, pending approval.
• There are fees associated with the rental of the Aquatics Center and lifeguards
• Requests for the Aquatics Center may be made by filling out a Campus Recreation Facility Request Form at least 72 hours prior to the requested time.
