Fitness Registration

Each semester Campus Recreation offers progressive fitness classes, special classes, and fitness events that require advanced registration. Registration for classes and events guarantees participation. Individuals not registered may be turned away.

Introduction to Cardio and Weight Equipment

Are you new to our facility or to working out? A Campus Recreation Personal Trainer will help you feel comfortable with the proper set-up and usage of the machines. Free weight usage is not included in this introduction.

Fitness Assessment

The purpose of a Fitness Assessment is to let you know where you rank in your age group for overall health and fitness. A personal trainer will be able to let you know where you rank by performing any of the following possible assessments: a three-minute step test, resting heart rate, body fat, height and weight, circumference measurements, push-up test, curl-up test, sit and reach, and bench press.

Personal Training

Four one-hour sessions for one- or two- person personal training is available at a cost of $50.00 for one and $75.00 for two. Your personal trainer will provide a free Fitness Assessment and a free Introduction to various cardio equipment. Your trainer designs an exercise program especially for you based on your current fitness level, preferences, personal schedule, and fitness goals. A Spencer SRC membership is not required.
