DSS Registration Process

All students who have been admitted to the university and feel they will require accommodations in order to pursue a degree at WIU must register with DSS. To initiate the DSS registration process, students with disabilities should:

  1. Complete a Request for Services Form.
  2. Submit documentation of a disabling condition. Please see the DSS documentation requirements.

Upon receipt of the above materials, DSS will complete a review of the documentation to determine eligibility for services and notify you of your eligibility status. Once eligibility has been established, an intake appointment is required before services can begin.
