The taskbar has three main components
1. The start menu - The start menu has 7 main components.
a. Pinned programs - Common programs that will start on the top of the menu.
b. Recent Programs - Programs that you have recently used.
c. System folders - My Documents My computer etc.
d. Control panel and printers.
e. Help, support and search.
f. All Programs - List of all programs installed on the computer.
g. Log off and shutdown.
2. The quick launch - Icons that can launch a program without having to clear all of the running programs to get to your desktop.
a. Default icons in the quick launch.
b. Adding and deleting icons from the quick launch.
3. The system tray - Applications that are running in the background.
a. Hidden applications.
