Dads' Weekend 2008 |
April 11 through April 13, 2008
Please Note: Beginning at noon on Friday, April 11th, the Dads’ Weekend Registration Table will be in the Student Assistance and Parent Service Center, located on the first floor of the University Union. The center will be open on Friday from noon until 6:15 p.m. We encourage all students and/or dads to pick up registration materials (t-shirts, event tickets, wristbands, etc.) prior to the start of the weekend events.
On Saturday, April 12th, the registration table will be located in the University Union concourse on the ground floor, conveniently near the University Union Bookstore, Union Hotel Check-In Desk, and Burger King. The registration table will be open from 9:00 a.m. through 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 12th.

The Golf Scramble is canceled due to weather. The luncheon is now being served in the University Union Murray Street Cafe. If you have not received an email regarding the changes, please contact 309/298-2295 or KJ-Meyers@wiu.edu.

Registration:
Register online by clicking here. You can pay online with a credit card or mail in a check (reservations will be cancelled on April 4, 2008 if payment has not been received). We encourage all dads to register as most events and activities are provided to registered participants at no cost, or at a discounted rate. Dads will be required to wear and present their wristbands at these events. Wristbands will be included in your registration packet. Make check payable to the Parents and Family Association. Mail checks and reservation forms to:

Olson Conference Center is offering WEEKEND ROOM PACKAGES ONLY
The Olson Conference Center is a former residence hall which is located just a short walk from all campus activities. Your rooms are furnished with two single beds, desks, dressers, and closets. Each floor of the guest area has two community bathrooms, a central laundry facility, and lounge area. View these rooms online.
Check-in is anytime after noon on Friday, April 11th and check out is before 1:00 pm on Sunday April 13th. Cancellation policy is the same as the Dads' Weekend Cancellation policy, please read below.
To make your stay at the conference center more comfortable, you might consider bringing the following items as your accommodations are very basic.
Cancellation Policy:
There is a $10.00 non-refundable processing fee for all cancelled registrations. In order to be considered for a partial refund, you must submit a cancellation request which includes a reason for the cancellation in writing no later than Friday, April 4, 2007. Cancellations will not be accepted after the deadline. Cancellation requests can be mailed or e-mailed to:

TEE SHIRT ORDERS:

Western Illinois University Dads' Weekend T-Shirts are for order prior to the event. Shirts are available in medium, large, extra large, 2 XL and 3 XL. T-Shirt order placed before 4:30 pm on 4/4/08 will be provided at the Dads' Weekend Registration table. T-shirts requested after this date will be back ordered and available for pick up by your student on April 21, 2007 in the Student Assistance and Parent Service Center, 1st Floor University Union.
DIRECTIONS:
Directions to off-campus activities will be available at the registration table.
