WIU Job Listings

First time student employees must complete an I-9 form when hired. The I-9 form requires students to bring with them original employment documents. Most students use either an original unexpired U.S. Passport OR a WIU School I.D. Card AND an original Social Security Card. There is a complete list of all acceptable documents on the last page of the I-9 form.

    -REPLACES NETWORK DATA PORTS IN RESNET HALLS AND GRADUATE AND FAMILY HOUSING.
    -TESTS PORTS, CABLES AND NIC HARDWARE AS NEEDED.
    -OPERATING SYSTEM UPDATES, ANTIVIRUS AND ANTISPYWARE INSTALL, UPDATE AND USAGE.
    -ASSIST WITH NETWORK FACILITY MAINTENANCE TASKS
    -OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

    Qualifications: -EXCELLENT INTERPERSONAL, TELEPHONE AND TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLS.
    -ABOVE AVERAGE TROUBLESHOOTING SKILLS IN NETWORKING, COMPUTER HARDWARE, AND SOFTWARE CONFIGURATION.
    -FAMILIARITY WITH CAMPUS.
    -FAMILIARITY WITH UNIVERSITY POLICIES (E.G., COMPUTING USE POLICY).
    -PATIENCE, MATURITY, AND PROVEN RELIABILITY.
    -KNOWLEDGE OF INTERNET AND E-MAIL UTILITIES.
