Thompson Hall is a 19-story coeducational hall that houses 1050 primarily first year students on 30 floors. Though Thompson Hall is one building, the men and women live on separate floors. Thompson Hall is also home to the Honors Community and a 24-hour computer lab. The second floor houses one of the University Writing Centers, a great resource for all students.
Thompson Hall is connected to the West Campus Dining Center and contains a C-Store, providing quick access to meals and convenience-store items.
Thompson Hall is known for its active residents and several major programs each year. The Big Pink Volleyball program, a fundraising and awareness program for Breast Cancer, occurs during the fall semester and is co-sponsored by Thompson Hall. The Box City program is an interactive event promoting the issues surrounding poverty and homelessness. The participants of the program will literally build homes from boxes on the lawn near the hall.
