Hall Staffing
- Complex Director/Residence Hall Director – A masters degree level professional staff member, the CD/RHD lives in a residence hall and assumes complete responsibility for the
students and residence hall staff. The CD/RHD will supervise 1-3 graduate students and 12 – 30 RAs. The CD/RHD will also determine damage billing, and oversee the hiring for
all staff in the residence hall. The CD/RHD is also responsible for the emergency duty set up for each building and is available to handle problems and needs of students.
- Assistant Complex Director – Assistant Complex Directors are graduate students that supervise RAs and are the primary assistants to the CD/RHD. Most of the ACDs are graduate
students enrolled in the College Student Personnel Program and intend to have a career in college student affairs. They supervise desk operations, advise student groups, and are part of the emergency response duty rotation.
- Hall Clerk – The hall clerk is an administrative assistant in the residence halls. Hall Clerks oversee and facilitate approved room changes and enter in all building charges and
handles office supplies and general office procedures.
- Resident Assistants – Residence hall floors are staffed by full time students who serve primarily as a resource and mentor for the residents. The RAs facilitate programming,
enforce policies, and serve on duty. Their primary duties are to create a floor community where each student feels he/she belongs and is an important part of the community.
- Resident Managers – RMs are the Graduate and Family Housing equivalent to RAs. They provide programming, enforce policies and perform duty response.
- Information Desk Staff – The front desk area of the residence hall serves as the official welcoming and initial resource in the residence halls. The desk is staffed by full time
students who reside in the residence halls. The desk staff members handle general questions, provide directory assistance, handle student packages, and sort U.S. mail.
- Dining Center Staff – Each area of campus has its own dining hall and dining hall staff. Dining hall staff teams are supervised by an on-site manager who directs and manages
all operations. Sodexo, a world wide leader in quality dining, is contracted to manage campus dining.
- Teams Police Officers – Each residence hall area is provided with a teams police officer from the Office of Public Safety. This full time police officer will have an office in the
residence halls and will be a visible member of the staff team. The teams officer will be available to handle any crisis/safety issues and also to answer student questions and even
provide safety programs upon request.
- Custodial and Maintenance staff – The Physical Plant staff members work hard to maintain safe and comfortable residence halls. There are staff available at all times to handle
major emergencies and also work very hard on a daily basis to keep our communities clean and comfortable.
